Ghisolana

ART AND WINE

United by passion

"From the avenue I called my only companion, I cried love with the tenderest of names: Ghisola, Ghisolabella! Throwing the bridle I would leap over the gravel. Ghisola! I was mad about her, oblivious, blameless. Fleeting infidelity gave love a heady novelty: sovereign certainty. Ghisola, Ghisola, I love you, I love you and forever you alone."
(G. D’ANNUNZIO)

Who was "Ghisola"?

Ghisola was the neame with which Gabriele D’Annunzio called, in the tenderness of the most intimate moments, the Divine Eleonora Duse, actress of the theater at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, appreciated even overseas and still remembered as first of the stars, who elected the charming and unforgettable city of Asolo as her adopted land.

The dall'Est family chooses to value the territory and its history by naming the winery "Ghisolana": the love that D'Annunzio felt for Duse, and the same that dall'Est feel for their vineyards.

Theatre and Masks

Every bottle of wine has a special history that’s braided with art.

Asolo and Venice are intertwined like wine and art, with Asolo as the refined chalice that contains the taste of history, while Venice is the enchanted stage of endless inspiration.
